- Remove seeds from pumpkin.
- Wash & remove pumpkin bits/fibers.
- Rinse.
- Spread on towel to dry. (do not use paper towels-you'll get paper bits)
- When mostly dry, spread on cookie sheet & let dry all the way. This might be a day or so, depending on how dry/warm your kitchen is.
- Put a splash of oil on a cookie sheet. Swish the seeds around in it. Now, this is just a little bit of oil. We're not deep-frying it, just toasting.
- Put in over @ 200-250F.
- About every 10 min., use spatula & toss seeds to toast evenly.
- Remove from oven after about 30 min., or to taste.
- Let cool.
- Store in air-tight container.
These are really yummy straight out of the oven, warm. Jr.Gopher#2, the total omnivore, likes them too.
