I realize the only people who read this are related to me ... so it's not like my view of politics is a secret, nor is it that different than the rest of you. That said... today's news (which actually means the past 2.5 days) just stupefies me. totally stupefies me. This exceeds even my terminally pessimistic view of the idiocy of U.S. elections.
I'm on drugs. I'm on hallucinogens. Please, someone tell me this is all one giant methamphetamine induced delirium. Lie, baby, lie.
please?

What are you talking about? There's news in October that does not pertain to Baseball?
There's no baseball news here. The public has moved on to purple and yellow filling the streets on Sundays.
This has been the month of idiots doing stupid things, ranging from Wall Street to my own little world where a director at a hospital billing department tried to sell me on their rationale that it was OK to bill me for something not ordered or to double bill me.
People can be such amazing idiots sometimes. All of them. Including me. Sometimes you just got to sit back and enjoy the farce....
I was serious though, I don't know what you were talking about? What news?
god, 6 days ago .... ummm...
She Who Must Not Be Named (Sarah Palin) talking in public. Anything she said. McCain's "I'm not an economist, I just play one on TV ads". The continued idiocy of the gov't deciding to gut the American economy by bailing out all of the fat cats, rather than a more rational bail-out. Hearing some dufus media call the bail-out something PC-Republican like "assistance package".
In all likelihood, there was probably some particular thing that set me off. But it's been supplanted by epidemiology study designs and risk assessments. God, I just want this done with.
But, seeing She Who Must Not Be Named get loudly booed @ a Flyer's game was a pleasant respite from such unrestrained idiocy.
The single most interesting election note is the fact that the Minnesota senate race is running 39-37-15% between the 3 major candidates. Sure, the Independence Party candidate probably isn't going to win ... but he is sure making the other 2 work for it.
